Benchmark Graphics was started by John Miller and Jay Cobb in 1976. In the beginning, the company consisted of two rooms, one Mark Andy 7” 2-color press, a homemade slitter, three employees, and two customers. Thirty years later, we have grown into a multimillion dollar company with national accounts. Our modern 27,000 square foot plant is located on five acres in Richmond, Indiana’s eastern industrial park. Converting equipment consists of nine flexographic presses, ranging in web width from 7” to 16” and print capability of two to eight colors. And, yes, there is still a small Mark Andy for those short run, quick turn jobs!

We are very fortunate in two respects. First, we are most grateful for a wonderful group of customers, some of whom we have had the pleasure of working with from almost the very beginning. They currently include a national grocery chain, several national retail groups, the U.S. Government, and a wide spectrum of individual firms. Secondly, we are appreciative of our employees. Our four key people have been with us more than twenty years each; the majority of our press operators have at least ten years experience with us. The knowledge that they provide, and the consistency that they bring to the manufacturing process are major factors in our success.
